Founded in 1930 by Abe Patterson, Patterson’s Clothing has been a staple of the Bemidji, Minnesota community for nearly a century. Known for quality men’s apparel and shoes, tuxedo rentals, and women’s sportswear, Patterson’s elevates the shopping experience through outstanding customer service and a thoughtfully curated selection of brands to fit every taste and lifestyle.

Tuxedo & Suit Rentals

From weddings and proms to performances, travel, and special events, Patterson’s makes formalwear easy. Through our partnerships with Jim’s Formalwear and MFW Tux, we offer a wide range of tuxedos and suits with coordinated shirts, vests, ties, shoes, and accessories.

Rental packages start at $130, with flexible options for individuals and groups. Planning a wedding? Ask about our wedding rental specials and group discounts—we’ll help coordinate the details from first fitting to final pickup.

Suits & Sport coats

If you’re looking to own your look, our selection of suits and sport coats ranges from timeless to statement-making. In addition to classic colors like black, gray, and navy, you’ll find richer tones such as burgundy, brown, and cobalt blue—along with subtle patterns and textured fabrics that add depth and personality.

Many of our sport coats are designed to stretch and move with you, making them comfortable enough for all-day wear and versatile enough to dress down with jeans or elevate for more formal occasions. When adjustments are needed, professional alterations are available through our in-house seamstress, helping ensure a fit that feels comfortable and looks sharp.

Dress Shirts, Pants, & Ties

Great style starts with the right foundation. We carry dress shirts in easy-care, tailored, and big & tall fits, paired with flat-front, wrinkle-resistant dress slacks designed for comfort and versatility.

For a more relaxed approach, we also offer hybrid dress pants with a modern 7-pocket design—ideal for travel, casual offices, and everyday wear—along with premium denim that pairs effortlessly with blazers and sport coats.

Finish the look with a tie from our regularly refreshed assortment, featuring solids, stripes, paisleys, plaids, florals, medallions, neats, and more.
